Floodlights are designed to illuminate large areas with a wide spread of light and are often installed on high poles. However, with accessories such as brackets, floodlights can also be mounted on building walls, similar to wall packs.
When you think of wall-mounted floodlights, the first example that may come to mind is they installed on the exterior wall of a warehouse for security. But their applications don’t stop there. Wall-mounted floodlights, including solar lights, are also used to brighten open areas, walkways, and parking lots adjacent to buildings. In addition, they can be installed indoors to highlight architectural features.
Today, we’ll share a few case studies of our wall-mounted floodlights. These examples will give you a better understanding of their versatility and may even inspire ideas for your next project.
Wall-Mounted Floodlight for Factory Building
Our customer was tasked with replacing outdated 400W Philips HID lights on a factory building. The old fixtures provided dim lighting, consumed excessive energy, and posed safety risks for workers at night.
We recommended upgrading to our 60W LED floodlights, which deliver brighter illumination while using only a fraction of the power. These floodlights can be mounted on the factory’s exterior walls in the same way as the existing fixtures.
Thanks to their asymmetric optics, our lights provide wide, uniform coverage across the entire exterior wall, reducing the number of fixtures needed.
With this solution, our customer successfully completed the project, achieved significant energy savings, and received excellent feedback for the improved lighting performance.
Floodlight Installation on the Interior Wall of a Shopping Center
This shopping center, with its high ceilings, required a comfortable yet distinctive lighting effect to attract visitors. The goal was to illuminate the roof structure to create a unique visual impact, while avoiding direct light that could cause glare for shoppers.
To achieve this, we recommended installing floodlights on the interior walls to provide upward lighting toward the roof. Using a 5000K color temperature ensured bright, natural-looking illumination and clear visibility throughout the space.
The wattage and positioning of the floodlights were carefully planned to maximize lighting performance and deliver the desired effect. In total, 60 units of 100W floodlights and 11 units of 150W floodlights were installed.
The outcome exceeded expectations: the customer reported excellent results, with both improved aesthetics and a more pleasant shopping environment.
Wall-Mounted Solar Light for Building Surroundings
In this project, our customers wanted to add exterior lighting around their building to enhance nighttime safety. However, high electricity costs and the complexity of wiring made they prefer a solar-powered solution.
To effectively illuminate the surrounding areas while avoiding the extra cost of poles, we recommended installing solar lights directly on the walls. The customer agreed, and we provided 20 units of 30W solar lights with mounting brackets for wall installation.
The surrounding areas are now well-lit and much safer at night.
Wall-Mounted Floodlights for Warehouse Yard and Parking Lot
Our customer wanted a new lighting solution for the warehouse yard and parking lot, as the existing lights were inefficient. The new floodlights were installed on the walls as the old lights.
A total of 19 floodlights were strategically installed, 15 units at 120W for larger areas and 4 units at 80W for smaller zones, ensuring uniform coverage across the entire space. The wide beam angles maximize light distribution efficiency, while the 4000K color temperature delivers bright, natural illumination that enhances visibility and safety.
By leveraging wall-mounted installation, we maintained the layout of the previous fixtures while eliminating dark spots and improving overall nighttime security. The result is a fully illuminated, safe, and energy-efficient environment.
