How Do LED Solar Bollard Lights Stay on 3 Days with Only 8H Charging

Solar lights are well known due to their low cost and environmentally friendly features. Solar energy is renewable and safe. It not only shrinks the carbon footprint but also reduces the strain on water resources. Therefore, solar lights are ideal for streets, gardens, pathways, parks, etc. But solar light also has shortcomings. Generally, solar lights can last for 4 to 12 hours with about 6 to 8 hours of full charging. During bad weather conditions, such as cloudy and rainy, solar lights cannot be fully charged due to the limited solar energy. As a result, solar lights are incapable of staying on all night. To solve the problem, AGC develops BL04 solar bollard light, which can stay on 2 to 3 days in the intelligent mode with 8 hours of full charging. Let’s look at how BL04 solar bollard light can achieve long-lasting illumination.

How Do BL04 Solar Bollard Lights Work

Solar bollard lights are mostly used in areas with less lighting time and high labour costs. BL04 LED Solar Bollard Lights convert sunlight energy into electrical energy in high efficiency through a monocrystalline solar panel on top. Each bollard will be energized by the long lifespan LiFeP04 Battery system at the solar panel. At room temperature, when the battery is fully charged, it can continuously light up for 11H at full power. In intelligent mode, it can continue to light up for 2-3 days.

Intelligent Mode Enables Maximum 3 Days Long Working Time

BL04 solar bollard lights have a special intelligent mode, which can reach a maximum of 3 days long working time. The intelligent mode can be adjusted by a wireless remote controller. Once setting the intelligent mode, the brightness and lasting time of the lights will adjust automatically from dusk to dawn. Here is a picture of the five-stage night mode:

  • Five-stage Intelligent Mode

The time period at each stage and the light level at each period are adjustable through the wireless remote controller. Different lighting schemes will affect the working time of solar bollard lights. Here is a picture of the lighting scheme, energy consumption, and working hours on rainy days of the intelligent mode.

Be notified that the battery capacity is 38.4Wh and battery charging capacity is 24Wh /Day, we recommend that the battery energy consumption should be less than or equal to 20Wh /Day.

  • Custom Intelligent Mode

One of the main benefits of BL04 is that you can set up a custom intelligent mode to fit your specific needs. Since nigh times vary from season and location, a custom intelligent mode can help you save more energy and meet your needs more precisely. Take Lighting scheme 7 as an example to set custom remote control parameters.

1. All the periods setting to ‘0H’ will be automatically skipped and not executed.

2. If lighting up in the morning is needed, please set it to ’TOT mode’ at Time 4.

3. The lamp will automatically adjust the light-on time in the morning according   to the time of the previous night, at ‘TOT mode’ :

E.g.:In summer: The night is 10H, Time 1 is 4H, Time 2 is 2H, Time 3 is 0H, TOT is  3H and Time 5 is 1H;

In winter: The night is 13H, Time 1 is 4H, Time 2 is 2H, Time 3 is 0H, TOT is  6H and Time 5 is 1H;

Just according to the former instruction, you can set the different modes in a small remote control and maximize the efficiency. Don't you think this is cool?
