High Bay Which Customized for Nuclear Storage Hall

Do you know what kind of luminaire can be used in a nuclear storage hall?

One of our customers finished a project for a nuclear storage hall with our HB25 high bay.

Before bidding on the project, the customer had done several tests with HB25 in the radioactive atmosphere. They noticed the LED driver was too sensitive to the radioactivity, which caused the high bay to keep flashing. In order to avoid this issue, the only way is to move the drivers of the luminaires to the premises without emitting radioactivity. 

The main concern for the deported driver solution is the power drop when the driver is fixed in a radiation-protected area 35m away from the luminaire body. Therefore we chose 2*2.0mm²cable for the DC output to minimize the power drop. The DC cable ended with a Wieland connector for quick connection. Meanwhile, a mounting bracket was designed to install the body of the high bay.

So far, 150pcs HB25 150W high bays were installed at 18m high in the nuclear storage hall without problem.
