The facility was operating with traditional 1000W Metal Halide (MH) fixtures. While these units were high-wattage, the actual performance on the court had degraded significantly over time.
The average light level had dropped to 160 lux, creating a dim environment that was no longer ideal for competitive play.
By installing 12 units of the HiBoard 240W, we were able to bring the average light levels up to 300 lux with an 8m mounting height. Achieving nearly double the light output with a 75% reduction in energy is a result of improved optical control.
Here is an image of the tennis court after installing the 240W HiBoard flood light:

Yet the court was nearly twice as bright. How?
Lamps: HiBoard flood light, 12pcs 240W
Precise beam angle: Our HiBoard uses F01602 65×120°(polarized light 55°) beam angle. It’s designed to "aim" the light onto the court while the fixture sits flat.
Nichia chips + Meanwell driver: We used Meanwell drivers because they don’t pop when the grid gets a little "dirty." It’s the difference between a fixture lasting two years or ten.
5000K Ra70: Cool white lighting with a suitable color rendering index, allowing players to enjoy the game with clear visibility.
