Casambi Wireless Module with Outdoor Sports Lighting

Wireless control systems are becoming increasingly popular, especially in the field of lighting. They are devices that enable wireless communication and control in lighting systems, designed to provide connectivity and smart controls for lighting fixtures and luminaires.

The Casambi wireless module utilizes Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology to establish a wireless network between the lighting fixtures and control devices, such as smartphones or tablets. It allows users to wirelessly control and manage lighting settings, including dimming, scheduling, and other features.

Recently, one of our clients has been working on an outdoor sports field project, and they have created a very impressive lighting design using our FL28 model 1000W DALI sports lighting. Afterward, they asked me if it is compatible with the Tridonic Casambi module, which fits with the Zhaga Book 18 receptacle as shown in the picture below:

Our engineering team helped work out a solution. We will use a small bracket to install the Zhaga socket on the side of the luminaire, allowing the customer to attach the Casambi module themselves.
