Anti-corrosion LED lighting products are increasing in popularity and demand for the coastal or even marine-grade applications.
When choosing an anti-corrosive LED flood light, it is important to consider the following factors:
- Material Quality: Choose flood lights made from high-quality materials that offer excellent corrosion resistance, Or Marine-grade stainless steel (316 or 316L), aluminum alloy, or other corrosion-resistant materials are preferred. These materials can withstand the harsh coastal environment.
- IP Rating: Look for flood lights with a high IP rating. For coastal applications, a minimum IP65 rating is necessary to ensure protection against dust and water spray, or consider selecting lights with an IP66 or higher rating to provide better quality.
- Salt Spray Testing: Check if the flood lights have undergone salt spray testing, such as continuous testing for 1,000hrs, 1,500hrs.. and requiring a test report. This test simulates a corrosive coastal environment by exposing the lights to a saltwater mist.
- Coating or Finish: Some LED flood lights come with additional protective coatings or finishes to enhance corrosion resistance. Look for lights with anti-corrosion coatings like powder coating or marine-grade paint.
