Customers often ask whether our light can be used in swimming pools, or which lighting fixture is more suitable.
As for swimming pools such similar occasions, the main concern is the disinfectant used in the water.
Pool disinfectant contains unstable Cl, with very strong oxidizing Cl ion to achieve disinfection effect. At the same time, a large amount of Cl ions will evaporate in the air.
In fact, the pH value of chlorine is basically close to 7, which is close to neutral, so there is basically no corrosion problem for the metal parts of the light fixture. But in order to ensure better quality, the surface of the light fixture specially treated with strong anti-corrosion powder will make it more reliable.
The reflector cup of the LED is plated with pure silver. When the chlorine in the swimming pool enters the LED package, will cause it to oxidize and generate AgCl - a black substance, which will also cause the reflection effect to deteriorate, and the luminous flux of the light source will be greatly reduced. So air tightness of the light fixture needs to be guaranteed.
