Sustainability: Renewable Energy

As part of AGC's sustainability initiatives, we are taking concrete steps to utilize renewable energy. We have installed an extensive rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system at our manufacturing facility in Huizhou, China. The electricity generated will be used to supply facility’s electricity needs first, with any surplus fed back into the local grid.

The project seamlessly integrated Building-Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) array systems into the rooftops of four buildings, spanning an expansive 15,000 square meters. This innovative approach seamlessly integrates solar panels into the building's structure, optimizing energy production while maintaining the integrity and aesthetics of the facility 

The annual power generation from the solar array is estimated to be 2.78 million kWh, a significant contribution to our sustainability goals. This translates into a savings of 1,112 tons of coal and a reduction in carbon dioxide emissions by 2,773 tons per year.

 The installation of PV solar panels on the roofs of our Huizhou facility is just the beginning of our solar energy initiatives. We are actively exploring opportunities to expand our solar footprint across our operations. This commitment to renewable energy is not just an environmental imperative; it is also a strategic decision that aligns with the growing demand for sustainable products and services.
