Where’ s the Best Lab to Do the Test Besides Devices?

Take a guess what are the major testing points for lighting fixtures to withstand, especially for outdoor ones? There are four to notice: waterproof (including anti-corrosion), temperature, thunderstrike, and vibration. Except for putting the data sheet of IPxx, IKxx, and temperature limit scale first priority, what else can we do to prove those cold numbers reliable enough? Maybe AGC’s outdoor lab could make sense.

Located in Shenzhen, AGC boasts the privileged natural weather conditions to process the three points above. Data from Shenzhen Meteorological Bureau shows that the average annual precipitation in Shenzhen is 1932.9 mm, and the average annual precipitation days (20.1 mm precipitation days) are 130.1 days, which means almost over a third of a whole year it is raining among with thunder, not to mention the tough time when typhoon is raging across this coastal city. Plus, the high temperature in summer will last for exceedingly five months, many times up to 40℃. Above all, AGC itself cannot be the better place to establish an outdoor lab relying on the natural power to re-prove the test results of the lighting fixture.

All the aging test racks are operated orderly to simulate the practical application, even tougher for those lights applied daily. Controlled by the time delay relay, a type of relay that has a built-in time delay function. Usually, these lights have to keep burning for two hours and go off for 20 minutes as a continuous cycle.
